Our Story
Mascarpone Cake By Benassi is the creation of Katia Benassi-de Guzman, born and raised in Massa, Tuscany, Italy. Growing up with an Italian father and Filipina mother, Katia's family always enjoyed this mascarpone cake during special occasions — a recipe lovingly passed down from her Italian grandmother.
When the family moved to Manila in 2002, they opened Benassi Ristorante Italiano in Ortigas Center, where the cake became a beloved signature dessert. After the restaurant closed in 2017, overwhelming demand from loyal customers convinced Katia to bring the cake back in 2019.

What People Say
Featured in top Philippine food publications and loved by cake enthusiasts across Metro Manila.
The mascarpone is very creamy and decadent. You won't think it's cream cheese once tasted. The cream doesn't overwhelm, and there are hints of coffee and cacao. It's not too sweet — perfect paired with coffee.

Not exaggerating — this mascarpone cake will change your life. A large cake was consumed by a family of four in less than a day. I don't think we'll wait for a big celebration to taste the cake again. It is THAT good.
